First of all, Happy December. The last month of 2008 is here and I intend to make the most of it. That includes tasting wines I haven't had before and enjoying wine with friends and family. I hope you do the same.
One man in France, certainly understands the joy of wine. Michel Chasseuil said that "life's not worth living without pleasure, and pleasure is a glass of wine with each meal." How true..how true! In his case though, he has the cellar that will make you swoon. Supposedly the greatest private wine collection in the world, he holds thousands of bottles from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries that he's been collecting for years. Located in Western France, Mr. Chasseuil has no plans to ever sell the collection of wine but, is hoping to establish a museum in Saint Emilion to share with the rest of the world. Claiming he's not a rich man, (I guess the wine doesn't count) he is looking to receive funding to help pay for this project.
Cheers,
The Wining Woman
