TV-36 to feature New Jersey's First Cable TV Wine Edutainment Program,"Time to Wine with Zita Keeley"

SUMMIT-- While there's no shortage of Internet programing featuring a healthy dose of wine education with a splash of entertainment, viewers can now catch a show devoted to wine "edutainment" on local cable TV.

"Time to Wine with Zita Keeley" will air on the community access television station run by Communities on Cable, Inc. (COC TV-36) on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 10 p.m.   The show will subsequently air Thursdays at 11:30 p.m.; Fridays at 11:00 a.m.; and Sundays at 11:30 p.m. Verizon Fios customers in portions of Chatham, Florham Park, Union, West Orange, Maplewood, and Kenilworth can view the program on channel 33 during the same time slots.

The first episode features Ms. Keeley, a wine educator from Hoboken, demonstrating her approach to wine appreciation.  Ms. Keeley is known in wine circles as” the wining woman” at
allidoiswine.com.  The webmistress is also the New Jersey chapter president of womenforwinesense.org, a non-profit organization devoted to promoting the appreciation and responsible enjoyment of wine through support of professional development of women in wine and associated industries.

Communities on Cable is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing community news to Summit, Millburn, Short Hills, New Providence, Berkeley Heights & Springfield. The station is also a member of the Jersey Access Group (JAG), a consortium of community-run public, educational and governmental TV stations in New Jersey. The consortium promotes quality operations sharing community television productions, and serving as an informational source for communities via cable television technology.

Other notable programming on TV-36 includes the long running "NJ Law with Assemblyman Jon Bramnick;"  30 Medical Minutes" produced by Overlook Hospital; and "Artistically Yours," produced by The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey.

Station Manager Jesse Patterson said, "TV-36 is proud to serve the community with educational and entertaining programs of local interest.  We are always happy to cover new topics that our viewers will enjoy learning about, like what Zita has put together with 'Time To Wine.'  Anyone interested in local production who would like to share their knowledge with our audience, can contact us through our website,
