Having just returned from an amazing week of wine..wine and more wine I thought I would need  a break. Well, not so. In fact, I think I am just inspired to keep on tasting now that I have all this new wine geek information in my brain. You see, the week consisted of 1 hour long seminars starting at about 9:00AM finishing at around 6:00PM. Each seminar was.. a wine tasting!!! Some had more wine than others, some had food but, there was ALWAYS wine. There was the lunch break of course. There was MORE wine. Each day there would be about 4-6 bottles open bottles on every table from different countries, producers, styles. There was a hospitality suite set up for tasting all the leftover wine of the day. I did this once. Even with all this, I still went to 2 wine bars, went out for dinner with wine and even ended the last day with a glass of wine with my last order of oysters. (Oh yeah! I had a lot of oysters.. my friend and I were in heaven.)

Now, interestingly, after going through hundreds of wines you would think I could come back with some amazing tasting notes.. sad to say, but no wine blew me away. Doesn't matter. It was a fantastic trip and I learned a great deal as well as made new friends.
